Art Therapy and Coping strategies for children (explained by adults)
Description
Remember: This course now includes the October 2023 manual.
Note: This course does not qualify the recipient to perform any form of therapy or counseling for any other person
Notice: Please do NOT enrol on this course on impulse, thinking you might watch it later. Maybe show an interest on impulse, yes, but before you enrol, watch the Preview videos, read the Course Description and then make a decision. If you then enrol then please start the course as soon as possible. Watch the lectures, look at the workbooks and join in the discussions. Joining my courses is a serious business and I want you to get the most out of your study – but I also want you to enjoy the course.
That is why I am asking that you only enrol because you really want to and that you start the course intending to make full use of all the resources.
You will be very welcome.
This is a course in two parts:
a. Coping strategies for use with children – or by children on their own. Ideally you’ll sit round with ‘the family’ and watch, reflect, discuss and implement.
b. Art Therapy exercises to use with the family – why not all try them? Post your results (remember, it is the process that counts) in the Q/A. The more you participate the more you will gain from the course.
This is a very practical course. ideally the whole family will sit round the monitor and watch the lectures, then try out the many many exercises…for the benefit of all.
A very heavy emphasis is put on participation, the sharing of ideas. Other Art Therapy courses of mine have hundreds of discussions as that really, is how to learn and progress. Hopefully this course too, will have such discussions – they will certainly be encouraged.
The course is 21 hours. Maybe that seems a lot, so organise your study time carefully – perhaps week-ends after dinner? The course includes a mini-course called ‘Bookclub’. Encourage your family to read – and provide another area for you all to discuss.
Who this course is for:
