Database administrators and data management specialists who manage on-premises and cloud relational databases built with Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft Azure Data Services are eligible to take this exam.
The Azure database administrator is responsible for the implementation and management of the operational aspects of cloud-native and hybrid data platform solutions built on Azure Data Services and SQL Server. The Azure database administrator performs day-to-day operations using a variety of methods and tools, including knowledge of T-SQL for administrative management.
This position is in charge of managing, ensuring the availability, security, and performance of modern relational database solutions, as well as optimizing them. This role collaborates with the Azure data engineer role to oversee the operational aspects of data platform solutions.
Candidates for this position should be familiar with all of the concepts covered in Exam DP-900: Microsoft Azure Data Fundamentals.
