I have based each and every question off of the objectives directly from CompTIA to help you prepare to take and pass the CompTIA Security+ SY0-701 exam on your first try as many of the students in my live classes have done!
I have written thousands of practice questions very similar to these for college courseware vendors that are used globally for IT courses. If you’ve taken a college course with a CompTIA certification as part of the curriculum, it’s possible that I was the one that wrote the questions throughout the course, including your midterms and final exams.
These 5 practice tests are broken down by domain and individual objective so you can see where your strengths and weaknesses are and spend more time studying up on the areas where you might need a little more practice. You’ll have between 1 and 2 minutes per question in these tests, though on the actual exam you’ll have 90 minutes for up to 90 questions. Be sure to read each question completely and thoroughly to be sure you understand exactly what the question is asking. Just as with CompTIA’s questions, sometimes questions may have extra information that is irrelevant to what is actually being asked, while other questions will be very straightforward.

Who this course is for:
- This set of practice exams is meant to test for your knowledge about various IT security concepts related to the CompTIA Security+ SY0-701 objectives. It is not meant to test your reading ability or ability to apply those concepts in complex environments, but rather to ensure that you are able to define what each of these components are. If you can define the components, you should be able to apply logic and reasoning for how they may be able to be used in both the real world as well as the exam.
- Please note that this set of practice tests should not be your only form of preparation for the exam. It is simply designed to help measure some of the areas where you have knowledge compared to areas where you do not to help you build your knowledge well before taking the real exam.
